Michelle Alger-Mintie is an exchange student at PUC in Rio de Janeiro. Michelle comes from the Environmental Studies department at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and will graduate from the program at the end of her internship at GMF upon return to the U.S. We are lucky to have her skills at the garden. Michelle has been preparing an annual planting schedule for us, devising the best way for us to compost, and is advising us on how to improve our soil. Today she will be working with me and the kids to plant our first five edibles – cauliflower, cabbage, collards, tomatoes, and broccoli.
